Biography

Jeremy, now in his mid-20s, has been writing music since elementary school. It started out as the undisciplined doodling instead of practicing for piano lessons. In his early teens this proceeded to writing electronic music ranging from techno to electronica to industrial to rock (and even some cheesy video game music). Then in 9th grade he picked up guitar which became his favorite musical device. Since then he has performed in a broad range of musical settings including: alternative 90s rock bands, as a solo acoustic artist, and an energetic indie rock band. Lately he's taken his focus to the acoustic realm as a singer-songwriting, still providing quality songs, unconventional lyrics, and melodies that his friends want to sing along with. He brings an accessible set of tunes to the table. You can relax and enjoy, but also take something home to think about.

Lyrics

Close

Written By: Jeremy Simon

one who makes my heart beat, i daydream and wonder about you all day, this life is so confusing. i call out to you every day. sometimes i feel so alone and believe God must be far away... out in space.
are there stars that span between us? are you closer than hands can touch?
i think you're closer than a brother. will you help me fight this doubt in me?
will you help me fight this doubting me?
i believe this life was designed as an adventure. one to live in faith and be amazed. the king is good. the king is gracious. unfailing. he's faithful and true. in the courts of my heart, i give him the seat.

Push

Written By: Jeremy Simon (song), Kim DiSante (lyrics)

push out the walls that threaten to suffocate the dancing flame within.
trembling, curl up close to you as you drown out all my sin.
and ignite this tiny fire, so much warmth and so much light.
it comes forth from your loving hand, you the heart of all that's right.

no darkness lingers in your halls, help me press out these walls.
no darkness lingers in your halls, help me press out these walls.

the cold nips at my ankles.
your fire ignites my heart.
i remember the biting chill, the icy fingers, reaching still.
and they try to steal the grace that shakes and fills and hides disgrace.
ever in the cleansing flood of my savior's precious blood.
they try to steal the grace that shakes and fills and hides disgrace.
ever in the cleansing flood of my savior's precious blood.

no darkness lingers in your halls, help me knock down these walls.
no darkness lingers in your halls, help me knock down these walls.
