Bio

Jeremy Weinglass began his musical studies at the age of seven at Nueva Learning Center on a Yehudi Menuhin Scholarship for piano. He was an original member of the Ragazzi Peninsula Boy's Chorus and took advanced piano and theory instruction at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco.

In junior high and high school he performed with jazz bands, accompanied school choirs, and was vocal and music director of several musical productions. During this time, Jeremy studied with the person he considers his most influential teacher, Thomas La Ratta, former Music Director at The College of Notre Dame.

Jeremy then attended UC Santa Barbara where he had the experience of composing for and performing with singers and orchestral ensembles. He graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Composition in 2000.

Jeremy strives to maintain a repertoire that encompasses a variety of musical genres including classical, jazz, standards, musicals and popular music. He continuously adds to his repertoire and keeps current with the latest pop/rock hits. His strengths include working with singers as well as composing for piano and a range of orchestral instruments and voice. He also has experience in MIDI sequencing and in conducting and leading groups for big shows and performances.

Jeremy's original piano music has been featured several times on the LA based show “The Underground” featuring short films, up-and-coming artists, and bands. The show airs locally in Los Angeles on Channel 36 and streams on the internet.

Jeremy has played professionally in a variety of settings including Nordstrom, private parties, corporate events, and weddings. He has also toured nationally and internationally as a keyboardist with Engelbert Humperdinck and the band Ballentine. He currently plays at the Beverly Hilton 3 nights a week. He also plays piano regularly at Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City during the meditation that precedes the services.

Jeremy is currently working on releasing 10 new solo piano CDs featuring the best of his repertoire across all genres.
