Bio

Pete Sonny Nash the oldest and founder member of the band (along with Jerimiah)started playing blues in the early sixties when he met Steve Marriott (who later formed the Small Faces & Humble Pie) Steve stoll Pete,s band then asked him to join Steve marriotts Moments,They went on to play with Jimmy Reed when he came to the UK in the 60's and Sonny Boy Wiliamson.Pete was asked to join the Small Faces but turned them down he didnt think they,d make it so took a job as lorry driver,Six weeks later Smalls Faces had number 1 hit in UK.
Pete Nash didnt play again till 1985 when he met up with Jerimiah Marques, who sounded like Muddy Waters & Howling wolf, but looked like Bob Marley, they hit it off straight away,so they got a band of local musos together and formed ''Booze & Bloose '' who were voted best UK blues band in 1989 on Jules Holland Show, which was recorded and put out by Central TV. they then went on tour of UK with Chuck Berry, which was the demise of the band, after we ate Chucks Food from his dressing room by mistake, he refused to go on stage,it was a great tour tho.
Jerimiah And Pete then formed the Marques Brothers initialy with a brilliant guitarist Gype Mayo (Dr Feelgood) who went on to join the Yardbirds, then Geoff Shaw joined on guitar, with Wes weston on harmonica, Mike Thorne drums, Matt Radford double bass. They released a cd in 2001 for Vampirela Records called the Chess Sessions,it was recorded by Pete in his living room cos he got fed up paying for studios and coming out with the wrong sounds.Geof left the band in 2002 went off to the jungle in south America,
They then changed the name of the band to Jerimiah Marques & the Blues Aces with Lewis Fielding On Guitar, also Big Joe Louis can be seen with them as special guest.
All the band memers have same musical influences ie; Muddy Waters. Little Water, Howling Wolf, Magic Sam not forgeting Toots & the Matlls
