Jerod Millz

I was born in Walterboro , South Carolina in 1989. At the age of two my mother and I moved to Paterson, New Jersey. There, music became a central influence in my life. Surrounded by legendary gospel greats such as Doc McKenzie and the Gospel Highlights, the emerging rise of a Hip-Hop community with a family flavor of classic Motown . I developed the love for various genres. This passion has carried me through early adulthood. While a student at EastSide High School I devoted my time to songwriting and learning musical techniques. Since then my mother and I have relocated to Rocky Mount , NC. Always a student of local music, I have begun implementing a southern flavor into my own northern Hip-Hop style. I’m presently working in a local recording studio, where I have recorded five CD’s, with three displaying my own original songs. My Passion is to work with influential producers and established artists, in an effort to reach my ultimate career goal of being an entertainer. However I aspires to learn the ins and outs of this cutting- edge industry, and absorb the true musical knowledge that can only be passed on by passionate artist. Make no mistake, my desire is to be original, but given my diverse background I understand that I must honor the people and music that came before me.
