"love the lyrics"

...boy, the lyrics really grabbed me as a listener. Vocal style is largely simple and unadorned, and very appealing. - GARAGEBAND.COM

"damn near perfect"

...he has a nice story telling voice and the lyrics are extremely good. I like the imagery created by the lyrics...

The hook...is catchy and sticks in the head immediately. His voice is confident and has a passionate delivery style.

Very engaging song, I thought it was one of the best I've heard in this genre for quite some time.

Overall it was damn near perfect. - GARAGEBAND.COM

"very enjoyable"

The upbeat guitar picking and strumming is catchy and demonstrates a good sense of rhythm and melody. The vocal melody is very catchy as well, delivering the witty lyrics with a good sense of storytelling and imagery. The tone of the vocals is very pure and honest and does a good job of keeping the listener interested. The arrangement is also well written, maintaining that steady flow throughout the song. This song has a lot of great qualities such as a catchy melody, thoughtful lyrics, good arrangement, and vocals that are just right for this simple, folk/acoustic song. Nice work. - GARAGEBAND.COM

Bio

The music of Jerome Wincek has remained consistent in the fact that he persistently pushes his limits. In both subject matter and musical style Jerome has never stopped pursuing the next step. The songs reflect the diversity of humanity with aplomb. The lyrics cunningly tackle current cultural issues by boiling an experience down to its psychological essence and matching the melody with the imagery. The vocal delivery is almost narrative in quality, and gives the seal of authenticity to the experiences therein contained.

Influences range from the classical guitar works of the classical and romantic eras to the bass work of Flea and the balladeering of Johnny Cash. Tom Waits figures highly in the stylistic approach of both instrumentation and production. Cake is pretty neat, too. Jerome Wincek also draws from the linguistic frivolity and light hearted rhythms of traditional Irish and bluegrass/appalachian folk tunes.

Jerome has played classical guitar for weddings, Irish songs every St. Paddy's Day, original and traditional Appalachian songs at bluegrass festivals, solo singer/songwriter stuff at coffee houses, rock shows at dive bars, appalachian rock at indie festivals and lullabies for his two sweet children. He has also worked on original soundtracks for movies.
