Differentiating him self not only with his mysterious energy through his album covers as well as a mixtape on the way. Jerry Black is certainly one to watch. Through my connections, I was able to catch up with young rapper from Sacramento for an interview. Hopefully he can shed some light on his future prospects in the field of music.

Why music?

I chose music because i feel thats where i can express myself the best and relate with the most people. Music is powerful, I’ve made connections with artist that I’ve never met before and i hope to create the same connection with everyone that listens to my music.

who or what is your inspiration during the creative process?

one of my main inspirations is life, everything that goes on around me gives me ideas and i feed off of those. As far as who inspires me there’s so many individuals i could list but to name one i would say Capital Steez from Pro Era is a huge influence. RIP Steelo.

And was it your initial part of your development or did you derive music from a different channel?

Music has always been a huge factor in my life, my mom used to write songs when she was my age and my dad used to be in a band so music has kind of been in my genes.

Has living in Sacramento help define your unique style?

yes sacramento has definitely help craft me into the person i am today, i learned a lot of lessons in this city.

In Regards to your persona and the vibe i get from you, your tweets, and your music you’re very grounded in who you are. Has this always been the case? or has this developed with time?

Definietly developed with time. I wasn’t grounded throughout high school, i was trying to find myself and going through phases. I think the thing that changed was i wasn’t doing things for peoples opinion anymore, i finally understood that no matter what you do some people aren’t going to accept you. i Started to create my own lane you know?

Pepsi or coke?

honestly neither i try to drink soda as less as possible.

Tell us more about The Most Plugged project and how it came about?

The Most Plugged is a group of friends that share the same dreams. we all like to create and spread positivity throughout creations. we started with my homie figs linking up with ryan, all of the others in the group were already friends and we just bonded from there.

What can we look forward to in the next 6 months?

my debut mixtape is coming out! No title for it yet. Also have a music video in the works. - Simon dendere
