Jerry Douglas is best known for his 29 year role as John Abbott on the #1 daytime drama “The Young and the Restless”. For over 20 years, Jerry Douglas has been performing live on stage in casinos and other venues throughout the U.S. and Canada alongside bands ranging from a trio up to a 20-piece band. Among Jerry's influences are Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee. He is considered by many of his fans to be the last of the Great Crooners.
Jerry Douglas supplies his own music, and has charts for 7 parts, which can be easily doubled, allowing Jerry to perform with bands small or large. Mr. Douglas rehearses with the band of the venue’s choosing prior to every show and may be accompanied by Steve Haberman, Jerry Douglas’ conductor, who can conduct a trio up to a 5-piece band or perform with the band as a piano player. Key instrumentation includes a stand-up bass, drums, guitar, and piano. A synth player can also be used, as all string instruments are included on one instrument.
Each program lasts about an hour and 20 minutes and half way through the program, he engages the audience with a romantic and humorous mock “Young and the Restless” skit that the audience will love.
