SNJ Record's out of Nashville, TN newest recording artist, Jerry Schmitt, has made a name for himself by establishing his own original sound – a blend of modern and traditional country music with a rockabilly influence. His sound appeals to young and old alike, and his love of performing and high energy stage presence makes each of his shows a unique experience for his fans.
The recent release of his first album, “100 Miles,” is already receiving radio air play not only in his home state of Wisconsin, but internationally in such diverse countries as Australia, Sweden and Romania. The album, consisting exclusively of his own original songs, has drawn rave reviews from people across the United States and abroad. Some have even referred to it as the best album released in 2008.
Jerry has opened for numerous national acts including: Joe Nichols, Lee Brice, Randy Houser, John Conley, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Oak Ridge Boys, Danielle Peck, and Joe Diffie.
Jerry has played a broad range of venues across the Midwest for the past 13 years. He has played at many popular Wisconsin outdoor music events such as the:
• HODAG Country Music Festival
• FUDD Fest Country Music Festival
• Lakewood Country Fest,
• Tomahawk Harley Davidson Fall Ride, and
• Central Wisconsin State Fair.
Jerry and his band were crowned the 2007 State Country Band Champions by the HODAG Country Music Festival. In addition to playing at many festivals, Jerry has also entertained at dozens of bars, beer tents, county fairs and rodeos across the Midwest.
Jerry has had the opportunity to play in Nashville numerous times at such legendary locales as Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, 12th & Porter and the historic Ryman Auditorium
Jerry’s band consists of an all-star cast of talented musicians that bring an electrifying presence to the stage.
