Jerzee “Tha Icon” is an up & coming hip hop artist who is about to hit the industry by surprise. His devotion to music has inspired many and is going to capture the heart of millions. Sean “Jerzee” Virgil was born in Montreal, Ontario and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. Jerzee started songwriting and performing at the age of 12 giving him 11 years of experience as an artist. For the past year, this 22 year-old has been busy in the studio writing lyrics, co-producing beats and working closely with his producers; Rob Provo (Hitz Entertainment), Mark (Ball Park Figures), Swift (FameCity), J Staff and Majjit on his debut album.
“What It Do to Ya” the First single from Jerzee debuted in the summer of 2006.
This Hip Hop southern mix was produced by Rob Provo of Hitz Entertainment and written by Jerzee him self, was a instant hit. Radio stations were soon to follow behind this sensational sound!
No stranger to performances, Jerzee has shown love to local High schools, College & Universities. As well as graced the stages as an opening act for many local celebrities as well as a great number of international celebrities, such as Omarion, Trey songz, Mario, Donnel Jones, Juelz Santana & many more. Taking his hip hop swagger and Rock star personality, Jerzee has also hit up the U.S for a number of local performances at venues such as the S.O.Bs in New York & BB King’s Theatre Also in New York where
As a creative and unique individual, Jerzee presents not only a Hip Hop meets Rock star appearance but one of an individual who is always exploring and pushing the boundaries of him self and his music. ‘I love rock Music as well as Hip Hop, and I like to express the two in my personal appearance as well as my music”. This vast versatility shows a sense of growth and development not only within him self but within the community. This intense combination shows a mixture of both worlds colliding and combining as one to please both the Hip hop crowd & the Rock and roll crowd. “Jerzee is defiantly both. His music is well rounded and appeals to everyone” (Yomi Ojelade). This Icon writes from real experiences and real hardships that he has faced from a young age. Anyone who has had a hard time, a good time or a real time can relate on a personal level. “His music hit’s home. Jerzee gives respect to artists such as Lupe Fiasco, Biggie, Tupac, Jay-Z, Fall Out Boys, Outkast & Mr. Marvin Gaye. Producers such as Pharell Williams and Timberland Have influenced his level of creativity and out of the box thinking. “Their work inspires me to pursue my career diligently and methodically. I work closely with my producers and other members of Fame City Entertainment to create original sounds and liberating music”.
