Eskimo Mud Slide Blues

Written By: James Beaver

I was sittin’ on top of an aerosol can,
Out in outer space,
Wonderin’ where the government
Shipped out the extra gara-bage.

When I looked down on Mama Earth,
Saw a crazed electric world
Oceans filled with oil tankers.
Pipelines runnin’ through the dirt.

And there were nations down there roarin’,
Couldn’ hear them but I knew.
And the continents were driftin’,
From the old order to the new.

Oh, once I was alone in space,
not a livin’ thing was near,
Now there’s a garbage truck beside me,
and a satellite up my rear.

Behind me is an Eskimo,
He has come for the new cold
All his igloos they have melted.
All his women, they have sold.

They’re tradin fur for bikinis,
While he just sits up here and stares,
Oh, he tried to light a fire,
But in space there ain’t no air.

I say, “Come n’ sit o’er next to me.” (Hopin he’s a friendly Chingookchick.)
“I’ve got satellite TV.”
But he just stares out blindly,
His ole home gone out to sea.

Oh, say goodbye to this world yesterday,
We got a new one coming by.
They’re sending rockets by the hour,
To come flyin’ through the sky.

Mars, that ole’ red planet,
It’s gonna surely be their aim.
But they’ll underestimate their destination
An run out of gasoline.

I will row over to the stranded,
In my aerosol can boat,
And invite them to jump on with me,
And watch as this world goes.

Yes , we’ll sit up on the satellites,
Kickin’ our feet.
As Mama Earth goes rumblin’
And a tumblin’ to the deep.

It is an electric world we live in,
All frenzy and all crazed
Let us sit here on it’s rooftop
With our hearts all set ablaze.

Aw, you and me,
And the Eskimo that makes three,
Let us sit here on this rooftop
And watch what they did to our country.

It is a crazed electric world
There’s a frenzy to this age
Let us sit up on this rooftop
With our hearts all set ablaze,

So sad to see it go!

Oh, no, no, no!
Oh, no, no, no! No! No!

Electricity (10,000 Million Volts)

Written By: James Beaver

I will lie, I will stay here with you.
In my heart, there's no where else I would be.

I'd been wonderin, livin with one foot out the door.
You brought yer love to me, and you let me feel it's charge.

An electricity: 10,000 million volts.

Somewhere in Beslan, there's a boy who's lost his friend.
His ears are deaf, and his hands, they are clenched.
His faith divided. Woke up in a world so turn.
Is there another? 10,000 millions more.

Could you come and ease these connections my friend?
Could you come my love and ease these swollen eyes?

Oh, these eyes! Tell me what can they see?
These hands and fingers, from which my pen does bleed.
To cast this dye, without leadening yer heart.
To hold you close, won't you let me feel yer charge?

An electricity: 10,000 million volts.
An electricity: 10,000 million volts.
