Bio

Award winning singer-songwriter Jesse Moore has performed solo, with “The Jesse Moore Band”, and as vocalist with “Friends of Jabu” at Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest and countless clubs all over the greater New Orleans area. He has toured extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand.

With his first CD, “The Hoodoo Man,” as a calling card, Jesse Moore introduced himself to New Orleans long ago and has never looked back. His original songs and unique voice caught the attention of fans city-wide, and Jesse began spreading his brand of roots rock in the music clubs of New Orleans.

Jesse began his professional career in New York City at the tender age of 13. Jesse is also a successful actor with major roles in soaps, primetime network television, feature and independent films and theater productions in the US and Europe. He most recently appeared with Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac in the Lionsgate feature “Pride”, shot on location in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

In November of 2005, Jesse released the first post-Katrina CD “More Than Life Itself,” named one of the “Top Ten Best CDs of the Year” by the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He lives in New Orleans where he is working on his memoir, “The Road Ain’t Easy”, and a new CD by the same name.
