"The opening act, the Jesse Roads Band were impressive. The trio, who have southern Albertan roots, had an appealing classic rock sound combining elements of Neil Young and Crazy Horse and ZZ Top. So there were plenty of big, dirty riffs and some excellent vocal harmonies. The bassist sat back grooving and grinning, and the drummer, who’s kit was at the front of the stage, stood up for extra percussion while singing extra vocal harmonies. They played several originals and an excellent, amped up cover of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in The Wall Part 2”

Bio
Jesse was born in the city of Lethbridge and raised to his teen years in the southern Alberta farming community of Raymond. Jesse's early inspirations include the hypnotic sounds of big-name artists such as Jimi Hendrix, The Black Crowes, City and Colour, Jack Johnson, Guns 'N' Roses, and Pink Floyd.
Jesse is a rocker who has done his fair share of "paying his dues" opening and touring with such acts as: Carson Cole, Clayton Bellamy (of The Road Hammers), Tupelo Honey, Retrograde, The Smalls, and Mcquaig to name just a few.
From 2003 to present, Jesse has had the pleasure of fronting southern Alberta's own hard rock trio "affliction" and received many noteable reviews, toured Canada, and received radio airplay throughout Alberta and British Columbia.
Jesse is currently working on a new solo album including the singles "Bitter Seed" and "Old Friend".
In 2009-2010 Jesse held an impressive 85 week residence at Steeps Tea Lounge on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton, AB where he hosted an Acoustic Showcase. After a brief hiatus the showcase resumed in September 2011.
