Bio

At the age of 12, Jesse picked up a six string, The Beatles' 'Let It Be' Songbook and began to play. Always fascinated by the way music mixes with emotions, Jesse began experimenting with songwriting at 19--upon returning from college and all the turmoil presented with living in two worlds. Experimenting turned into a passion. Now with over an album's worth of songs, Jesse still searches for new and interesting ways to express himself through song.

His ever present curiosity can be traced back to early childhood--when his father and uncle would play old folk tunes at family gatherings. Jesse's fascination led to the aquisition of a small ukulele which he would (badly) play along with the rest of his family. Even before he learned to walk, Jesse would stop in his tracks and crawl to the stereo as fast as possible whenever Neil Young's 'Love Is A Rose' would come on the record player.

Jesse's parents taught him that music was an essential part of life. So much so, he was practically indoctrinated to the sounds of The Beatles; Bob Dylan; Simon & Garfunkel; Peter, Paul and Mary; Jackson Browne; John Denver; James Taylor; Joan Baez; The Byrds; Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young among others.

As he has grown, Jesse has learned to appreciate all genres of music for contributing different feelings and experiences to life. Some artists of note, of which Jesse sees as additional influences, are: Phish; John Mayer; Oasis; Keller Williams; Johnny Cash; Jimmy Buffet; Jack Johnson; Harry Nilsson; Guster; Greatful Dead; Ben Folds. As with life, however, the list is forever changing.
