"Talented singer-songwriter"

Jess Healy is a talented singer-songwriter … releasing her debut CD and has a sound that is just as pleasant as she is in an interview … Keep an eye out for her. She has an infectious positive attitude that’s nice to encounter. - Michael Trenholm, East Coast Kitchen Party

Bio

Jess Healy will release her sophomore album Lionheart in November 2013. With a sound that is refreshing, upbeat and contagious Lionheart showcases her development and maturity as a musician. Jess currently resides in the musical hotbed of Halifax, Nova Scotia. She began performing as a solo artist in her early years at Dalhousie University. During that time she performed various shows around the East Coast, including a sold out debut album release at the Red Stage on Lower Water Street in Halifax. For a year, Jess co-hosted the acclaimed open mic at Alexander Keiths Brewery where she made many connections with local musicians. Upon graduation, she pursued an opportunity to travel to Texas and work with the Houston Womens Music Festival.

For Jess second album, she called on award winning songwriter and new producer, Ria Mae. The result is a collection of songs that show the very best of Jess addictive melodies and honest lyrics, with extreme pop sensibility. Lionheart builds on the success of Jess first album, with strong, mature themes, and an honest voice.
