How did you come up with this song?
Jani came along one afternoon as I sat in my room looking at all the old 80’s rock posters hung on my walls. I started thinking about the lives of these musicians and the possible havoc they brought upon many women. Jani is written about a rocker cowboy who brought chaos and corruption into the world of a young lady. As the song escalates, more becomes revealed about the situation resulting in a total flip in power. This story just came along seemlessly as I wrote, resulting is a gritty country battle song. - Big Sound Blog

At the age of 17 Jessica Sevier has penned over 50 songs. Her lyrical and melodic approach to her original music has been called mature beyond her years. With influences such as Bruce Springsteen and Stevie Nicks, Jessica blends country, rock and folk while still giving it her own modern twist. Her lyrical style is filled with strong imagery that brings listeners into the heart of her own experiences. Her unique personal style is evident in all she projects. Not one to fit a mold, Jessica is a fresh but still familiar sound in today's music industry.
Having performed at venues all around the GTA, Jessica has been able to gain quite a following. From Ribfest in Gravenhurst, to The Cadillac Lounge in Toronto to The JW Mariott in Muskoka new fans have even booked her for private events. Jessica is a classically trained vocalist who has received many awards and acclimations for her craft. She plays guitar, piano and harmonica.
