Jessica Hooper is a vibrant singer-songwriter and performer, who is sure to capture the hearts of any audience. With her folk/country style that was earlier on influenced by artists such as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Patty Griffin and Kasey Chambers, this small town girl originally from the NSW south coast is now ready to lend her bubbly and charismatic personality to the Canberra music scene.

Since an early age Jessica always had an interest in music but aside from singing along to her Dad’s record collection on a Saturday night, her talent and drive was never noticed until she began to learn the guitar at age 14. Now age 20, Jessica feels she has developed her individual musical style and is currently concentrating on presenting powerful acoustic style performances that perfectly combine her unique voice with guitar.

Through her own songs, Jessica shows every part of her soul and reveals everything that she believes. Her songs are completely honest and real and she is often praised for her exceptional ability to hold audience attention even with original songs. On the other hand when performing covers of modern pop, acoustic, country and folk songs, Jessica adds her own distinctiveness to each song and tells the stories as if they were her own.
