Bio
Only 27 years old, Jessica Benge is fast becoming a distinctive and celebrated voice on the Indianapolis music scene. Since her teens, she has performed in several of the area’s premiere show bands, singing jazz standards and rock & soul covers, as well as recording and performing with the nationally-syndicated Bob & Tom Show.
In 2005, Jessica created a project under her own name to highlight her skills as a band leader and songwriter. Influenced by artists such as Susan Tedeschi, Aretha Franklin and Bonnie Raitt, Jessica performs raw, high-energy music filled with passion and soul. Nuvo Newsweekly recently cited that Jessica “…can flat out sing. She has one of those ‘How did that big voice get in that young woman?’ voices that can handle soul, rock and pop standards with equal command.”
