CD: Till It Happens To You

Jessica released her debut album "Till it Happens to You", a collection of jazz standards & contemporary songs arranged with an intriguing original jazz twist. It was produced and arranged by Tom Tomasello who collaborating with Johnson to make each song fit Johnson's unique style and voice. Jessica is currently working on her second album that will be released summer of 2011.
While growing up in San Jose, CA, her grandmother introduced her to the classic musicals which hooked her to her first idols, Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, and Bing Crosby. Johnson began her musical journey with formal vocal training at the age of 5. By 7 she began competing at every bay area competition she could find and she garnered an impressive array of awards.
By age 12 Johnson began singing the National Anthem for the San Jose Sharks, which eventually parlayed into singing the Anthem for every notable professional sports organization on the West Coast. The Bay Area Vocalist has performed as the opening act for Lani Misalucha and the Society of Seven at the Hollywood Palladium. Jessica was a featured artist several times at San Jose Jazz Festival, as well as a countless list of venues across the West Coast.
In Jessica’s “free” time she teaches Zumba, body conditioning, and core classes, studies musical theater at San Jose State and of course her first love, performing!
From the moment Jessica walks on stage, her audience is held in the palm of her hand. With her rich sultry voice, she scats, swings, and melts your heart, leaving you yearning for more.

Singer Songwriter Jessica Johnson “is definitely no cookie cutter singer; her voice is far superior to even some of the commercial singers who are already established and, at such a young age, she is a seasoned vet on the music scene, her bright, vibrant voice reaches all generations."
