Jessica Martin

Jessica Martin's music is what you would call "Kingdom Music". With influences like Lisa McClendon, Chrisette Michele, Jill Scott, and Natalie Wilson she has a mixture of gospel neo soul and rhythm and praise. She is a praise and worship leader as well as a recording artist. She is from Montgomery AL and her sound in southern grown. Jessica is a psalmist for this generation with a different and unique sound that has not been heard in the gospel industry.

She majored in music education vocal concentration with a theatre arts minor at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Al. There she held the titles of Miss Chamber Choir 1999, Miss Univerity Choir 2000, and Miss Gold 2000 for Phi Mu Alpha Music Fraternity. She participated in many plays including musical and drama. Jessica known as "Prophetess J" or JMarti was on the Praise Discovery Show as a finalist to become the next "Christian American Icon 2004". She has ministered on "Conversation with Carol" (local television show)in praise and worship, 2 appearances on TBN's "Praise the Lord", and was interviewed on 1600 AM The Light. She opened up for Stellar Award Nominee Nova 4 Jehovah, Dove Award Nominee Luther Barnes, Christian group Jubal's Kin, Aeneas Koresh, DJ Wheel, King Wes, Big Prophet and ministered with her husband Ronald Martin in praise and worship for many different ministries. Jessica Martin is DMM award winning vocalist and was a Destiny Idol Finalist for Prophetess Juanita Bynum contest. She has also be featured as a profile of the month is WOW magazine.
