Jessica Steinman

Jessica Steinman is a young, fresh artist whose voice and songs stick with you. Her voice has been compared to Natalie Merchant and other strong female artists. Her style iof singing is in a league of its own. She has a clear sound that has been trained since she was 12. She studied opera, classical, music theatre and adds a bit of all her training to her acoustic, pop, rock, folk sound. Her beautiful volce will linger with you and leave you wanting to hear more. Jessica started out as a young girl performing in plays and choirs singing everything from music theatre to music for synagogues and churches. Growing up in Los Angeles around a musical family got her excited about following a career in music. After moving to Minnesota as a young girl and living there until she was 18 performing in an all city choir and being the big fish in her smalltown, she craved a big city again and headed to New York City. She was a music theatre major at NYU and after graduating decided cattle calls weren't for her! She went on to work with artists for their choral and solo demos and performed in a theatrical concert group called "Soul on Fire." She has finally been able to focus on the kind of music she has wanted to do. With the help of producer Joe Rogers and his band Back to Blonde, she recorded 3 songs in a small grammar school in the South Bronx and has turned out an amazing stepping stool to slowly get her music out there. Jessica continues to live in New York City and write more music. Her hopes are to continue writing great music and get a band together to start playing some great live shows in NYC's thriving music community.
