"CD Review Jessie Bock"

JESSIE BOCK'S
Self Titled CD

There are CDs country fans purchase because they like the artist and CDs fans buy because
of a song or two. Then there are those CDs country fans buy because they are a must have if
you are a country fan. Add Jessie Bock's self titled CD to that list. Whether you are a traditional
country fan or you follow the modern country sounds, there is something for you on this CD.
Jessie sets the tone with the first song, "Ain''t No Way to be a Man," which will make you
eject the CD and double check to see if you mistakenly inserted a Patty Loveless CD.
Jessie later brings back the old Tanya Tucker feel with "Keep The Change." She then shows
her vocal soul and flexibility with "Promise To Me" in a way that would make Winnona make
jealous. Jessie has her own sound and vocal personality and with the quality of the musical
bed behind her she showcases those traits as professionally as anyone in the industry today.
It is heartening to not only hear the traditional songs such as "Everything She Knows" and
"Jesus At the Waffle House," attempted, but to be sung as well as Jessie does just shows
that country music is where Jessie belongs and will make one wonder just how long it will
be before Nashville follows the Taylor Swift wave with this Georgia native.
