Singer and songwriter, Jess Ketola, delivers passionate lyrics that will draw you in. It definitely proved to be the case with Sting. After hearing her sing at the sound check party for the Police Tour, Sting invited her to join him on stage for the concert at the Gorge to share the mic for “Don’t Stand So Close To Me.”
Jessica has been singing and writing songs from a very young age, winning vocalist awards and traveling in select choirs throughout high school and college, and has recorded and published her songs on a gospel record label. Although she has devoted the majority of her time in recent years to her family, Jessica’s rock star moment propelled her to continue her pursuits as an artist.
Her rich vocals and pounding keys are evocative of artists such as Adele and Ingrid Michaelson with the edgy intensity of Brandi Carlile, the soulful chops of Duffy, and the deep vocal quality of Wynona Judd. You can’t help but be moved by her heartfelt and melancholy performance.
