""Vineyard Vibes Electrifies...""

"On Saturday evening it was a rare treat to hear Motown, with its pervasive appeal across age, race and gender, not blasted from a car radio tuned to the oldies station, but performed live by five sets of powerful lungs belonging to Berklee students.

Ms. Holliday stole the show on Saturday, but she did not steal the spotlight - the evening belonged without question to the as-yet-unknown stars. It was not hard to envision the singers as famous. Ablaze with charisma, the students were expressive and entertaining, even when singing back-up.

The students were all winners of the Singers Showcase competition within the past two years at Berklee. The competition filters out the top vocalists from about 100 applicants each semester - who are nearly all vocal majors at the college.

..."Is this the correct thing on the card?" Ms. Holliday asked only half-joking about the note card describing Jessica Wolfe, a Berklee senior from Los Angeles. Ms. Holliday expressed shock that a young woman so talented vocally was majoring in music business." - Rachel Nava Rohr, Martha's Vineyard Gazette

Bio

Hello! I started singing since the age of 6. Studying many different genres of music, I focused on finding my own unique style blending soul, blues, folk and jazz. I like to use my voice in many different ways so I try to keep things colorful and engaging while using many different parts of my voice. To me, having a message and trying to express that through a song is a gift and having the ability to share that is the most wonderful experience.

A little bit about what I've been doing...
I was Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, and have been priveledged enough to perform all over the Los Angeles and Greater Los Angeles area including the Catalina Bar and Grill, Rusty's on the Santa Monica Pier, The Baked Potato and many more.
For the past four years I have been attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. This May, I graduated with a dual BA in Music Business/Management and Vocal Performance!
Being at Berklee has truly given me the opportunity to grow personally and musically... and now I am taking what I have learned (keeping in mind there is SO much more out there) and relocating to NYC this September!

I have been able to share the stage and work with Jennifer Holliday (of Dream Girls Fame)
Tower of Power (benefitting Rocco Prestia at Ryles Jazz Cafe)
Walter Beasley (Recording Artist and Berklee College of Music Professor)
Jetro Da Silva (Whitney Houston and Berklee College of Music Faculty)
Winston Maccow (bassist, arranger, producer, Berklee College of Music Assistant Professor.
Wayne Naus (Buddy Rich, Berklee College of Music Professor)
Lisa Thorson (Vocalist, Clinician, Berklee College of Music Assistant Professor of Voice)
Elisabeth Howard (Vocalist, Clinican, Vocal Trainer, Founder and Director of Vocal Power Inc.)
