Bio

There is very little that isn't awesome about riding a roller coaster.

Hailing from Toronto ON, this brand new pop/rock band has built up a repertoire that does well in living up to their theme park name. Jet Coaster's sound is brilliant pianos and warm electric guitars meeting groovy drum and bass lines. Swirling through a collection of songs about life, love, courage and dreams, the band's unique sound is as catchy in the car as it is infectious on the dance floor. And of course, don't forget a little cotton candy on the side!

The origin of this clever band name was actually within quite a different setting. Lead singer Brent Miller was at home on a long distance call to Nashville, chatting with producer/recording guru Chris Grainger at length about great songwriting. To Chris, "great songs are like roller-coasters; each having unique twists, bends, loops, build-ups and themes, at the end leaving you totally exhilarated with a strong desire to ride again. Such beautiful imagery is hard to resist. Indeed, the name evokes an energy that perfectly matches Jet Coaster's life-filled music.

The 'coaster' began its climb with the entrance of Brent's ex-band mate Jonny Swank on drums. Filling up the 4-person per car passenger limit is recent Humber graduate Sarah Giles on bass and the dangerously funky Dave Servinis on guitar. Having just debuted, Jet Coaster has already toured from Waterloo to Montreal, received wonderful regional radio play and has been releasing new music at a rapid rate.
