Bio

Think about all the things you love about rock music. The driving drum beat. Heavy, distorted guitars. A fat bass line. A simple yet ridiculously catchy melody. These things are the basic formula for a great rock song. Coincidentally, these are all the things that Jets to Ground exemplifies. For years the band has been combining this formula with great songwriting and passionate live performances, making them a rock force to be reckoned with. Hailing from Burlington, Ontario, Jets to Ground are leading the thriving Ontario music scene.

Jets to Grounds brand of simple but effective rock has been spread all over the GTA. The band has played sold-out shows at legendary venues such as The Horseshoe Tavern, The Rivoli, Lee’s Palace, and The Reverb. They have been involved in many festivals, including the Sound of Music Festival in Burlington. The band has also shared the stage recently with some amazing bands including The Salads, State of Shock, The Watchmen, Wide Mouth Mason and more. When you see “Jets to Ground” on the sign outside, you know you will be in for a show.

The band is currently exploring its creative side, continuing to write and record material for a forthcoming album. Founded by lead singer Andrew Irving and bassist Jay Beaudry, JTG has always been somewhat two-faced. In one sense, the band’s bread and butter is its artistry – writing and performing original music. However, the band’s creative side is also displayed in full force when it performs cover songs. The band takes pride in putting its own spin on great music. Crowds seem to love it, too.

In the coming year, JTG will continue to work on their upcoming album while playing live shows at a venue near you. Jets to Ground loves rock, and they know you love rock too. Sometimes you have to ask yourself – why mess with a good thing?
