Biography

Introducing Jewels Hanson: Jewels Hanson is your typical single, red-blooded, American female... and PROUD of it. She likes boys, whiskey, motorcycles and Honky-Tonks. Historically, female country artists have spent their time singing about love, marriage, and the "perfect" life behind the white picket fence. Frankly, that's a little bit too much reality for a rowdy cowgirl like Jewels. Entertaining crowds nightly as the lead singer of the house band at the world famous Honky Tonk, The Saddle Rack, has shown Jewels that people have the best time when you leave ‘reality’ out of the mix and just set out to have a good time on a Friday night. Continuing the fight for drinkin' songs and barroom brawls, Jewels sings affectionately about the "man" in her life (Jack Daniels), and Billy Bob the nipple ringed cowboy. Her fans call her "Travis with Tits", "Hank Jr.-ette", and "Toby's Twin", and join her in rowdy dances atop the bar, or rides on the mechanical bull. Spontaneity is her friend, and ya'll never know what she is going to do next... which is 99% of the fun. Jewels prides herself on giving the "Big Boys" a run for their money, and doesn't rest until every last fan is having a good time. This ain't yo' Mama's Country and it sure ain't yo' daddy's country. It's a NEW Country. And if you think you've seen it all, you ain't seen nothin' yet. You can bet your whiskey, there ain't nothin' like Jewels.

The Luckiest Girl I Know

Written By: Jewels Hanson

I never meant to fall in love
I never meant to lose my heart
I tried to push the feelings back
I tried to fight it from the start
But when he looks at me
I feel like time stands still
And when you hold his hand
You're holdin' on to my whole world

And yYou are the luckiest girl I know
But it's so hard to let him go
You're living the life I dreamed
With the only man that can make it be and
Oh how I wish it wasn't so
I can't deny what heaven knows
You are the one he'll love forever
And you're the luckiest girl I know

I knew it was wrong but didn't leave
I knew I should run but couldn't move
I couldn't bare to set him free
I couldn't seem to face the truth
'Cuz everything I need is right there in his eyes
And I'm not strong enough to make this lonely sacrifice

And you are the luckiest girl I know
But it's so hard to let him go
You're living the life I dreamed
With the only man that can make it be and
Oh how I wish it wasn't so
I can't deny what heaven knows
You are the one he'll love forever
And you're the luckiest girl I know

You'll never have to say goodbye
Though I'll never get the chance
I had him for a song
But he's your eternal dance

You are the luckiest girl I know
But it's so hard to let him go
You're living the life I dreamed
With the only man that can make it be and
Oh how I wish it wasn't so
I can't deny what heaven knows
You are the one he'll love forever

And you will always be together
You're the luckiest girl I-
I know-
I know

I'm Keepin' My Boots On

Written By: Jewels Hanson

Road trip in your Chevy
I’m makin’ myself at home
So I put my feet up
You tell me I can make a dashboard a footrest
But not in your truck
To take ‘em off would be against my religion
It’s an easy decision

I’m keepin’ my boots on baby
Hopin’ to drive you crazy
You know that it don’t hurt to put some dirt into every little thing you do
I’m keepin’ my boots on baby
Hopin’ to drive you crazy
I’m tellin’ you all I know is I ain’t goin’ without my lucky shoes
I’m keepin’ my boots on
Baby my boots on

JFK and I’m waitin’ in line at security
And they have it out for me
They got my keys, my belt, and all of my jewelry
Now they’re pointing at my feet
Well I could put ‘em through the x-ray
But I’d rather drive anyway

I’m keepin’ my boots on baby
Hopin’ to drive you crazy
You know that it don’t hurt to put some dirt into every little thing you do
I’m keepin’ my boots on baby
Hopin’ to drive you crazy
I’m tellin’ you all I know is I ain’t goin’ without my lucky shoes
I’m keepin’ my boots on
Baby my boots on

Well my other shoes just ain’t as cute
And my boots go great with my birthday suit
yea yea yea

I’m keepin’ my boots on baby
Hopin’ to drive you crazy
You know that it don’t hurt to put some dirt
Into every little thing you do
I’m keepin’ my boots on baby
Hopin’ to drive you crazy
I’m tellin’ you all I know is I ain’t goin’
Without my lucky shoes
I’m keepin’ my boots on
Baby my boots on
Baby my boots on
Baby my boots on
Baby- I’m keepin’ my boots on

Be A Lady

Written By: Jewels Hanson/ Jake Schaefer

No diamond ring would mean a thing
It’s just another losin’ bet
The boys all know they can’t bring me home
Cuz I scare their mama’s half to death
Well I might look like a proper girl
But I wear a lot of leather with my pearls
So forgive my frustrated sigh when I think about why

Why should I try to be a lady
Why should I wear the little bows in my hair
They say my heart breakin’, hip-shakin’, givin’ ‘em a headache
Ain’t ladylike but I don’t care
It’s so hard to be a lady
I just can’t seem to get the curls to come out right
But I’m a fast-talkin’, rock-n-rollin’, all night rodeo-in’
Dynamite woman tonight

I like whiskey and boys and high-priced toys
And I flirt with everything that moves
I love drinkin’ songs and honky-tonks and my real bad attitude
So if I keep gettin’ that no-no-no’in
Sooner or later I’ll be go-go-go’in
Where they like my dangerous side and the boys don’t cry

Why should I try to be a lady
Why should I wear the little bows in my hair
They say my heart breakin’, hip-shakin’, givin’ ‘em a headache
Ain’t ladylike but I don’t care
It’s so hard to be a lady
I just can’t seem to get the curls to come out right
But I’m a fast-talkin’, rock-n-rollin’, all night rodeo-in’
Dynamite woman tonight

I’m a heart-breakin’, hip-shakin’, givin’ ‘em a headache-in’
Dynamite woman tonight

I’m a two-steppin’, toe-tappin’, tush-pushin’, boot-slappin’,
Cotton pickin’, Jack drinkin’, foul mouthed and dirty thinkin’

Fast-talkin’, rock-n-rollin’, all night rodeo-in’
Dynamite woman tonight
