JE WELZ Pronounced (Jay-e-Wells), has mastered her writing skills into songs with raw, edgy, and direct, no-holds barred street lyrics. Her rhythmic alto sensual delivery over heavy basslines, drums and smooth mid-tempos captivate listeners into a sort a trance, especially with songs like "MOVE" Produced by Omen, Credit to Fabolous' "One Day" and "Why Wouldnt I", Memphis Bleek's, "Everybody Wants Some"

Her influences range from Kool G Rap, Scarface, Biggie, Nas and JayZ. MC LYte, Roxanne Shante, Lauryn Hill.

She has opened for Digital Underground and has shared stages with many famed notables in the game today, Lyfe Jennings, Shawn Kane, Rell and Nicole Ray, Fugees, Shells, Pharohe Monk..............Just to name a few.
She has been captivating satges in many NYC clubs and Venues along the East coast. She took independent artisty and hip hop to a new level while performing overseas in Switzerland, Germany, Amsterdam, and Japan.

She was nominated for underground unsigned Female Artist of the Year. 91.9 Promo Radio and made their top Unsigned Underground Female Hip Hop artist List as ..1 for 2005. And now 2005 Best Female Rapper Award Winner

Currently Co-Founder and CEO of HIZ and HERZ ENTERTAINMENT, She is tearing down doors in radio and Magazines across the country. Now apart of Inda Streetz Magazine (Springfield, MA) she has her own column in the magazine along side her partner expressing their views of the music business From the ups and downs of the grind, to an artist's point of view about the industry. She is also writing music reviews and reporting .
She has songs on major soundtracks, Records in stores and Various mixtapes, both International and Domestic.
She is also Currently working on a Project this summer with Omen and famed D-Block Producer, Vinny Idol,( Massylum and Black Thumbs), called "The Streets.....Commercial", The Producers Edition. Vinny Idol is also currently producing her album. Right now untitled. Also JE WELZ will be featured in the upcoming Film entitled "A Match Made In Harlem " with music from JE WELZ on the soundtrack. The movie will be released in 2007
