Discography

We recorded a demo with our own money in November 2005, and things got a bit out of hand, so we ended up with eight songs on it! We got inlays printed and got the cd duplicated, and started selling it in January 2006. We have tracks on our myspace (myspace.com/jezery).

Bio

We were four friends who were disillusioned with being the only people in our seperate bands who cared about music, so it slowly dawned on us to get together and get serious about it. We formed in Jan 2005, and rented a band room. We played there four nights a week for four months, to get songs together and get tight. Then we were offered a support slot with a Liverpool punk band 28 costumes in Nancy Spains. It was a disaster, there were about 10 people there and our friend got spiked! But the support band from Galway, Vamos, were sound, so we said we'd play with them and the Gurriers up in Galway. We drove six hours, played 25 mins, slept in a crap hostel, woke up and had to pay 80euro to get a clamp off one of the cars! Then on the drive down, Ted crashed into Shane, causing 2000euro worth of damage! But we got a tenner each and a pint for playing the gig so it was worth it. Things have got better since then, we started getting more support slots and supported Ten Past Seven on four dates of their Irish Tour, as well as bands as diverse as Lerner, Wallmark, and Ashley Sheehan & The Mute amongst others. We have also had many headline gigs in Cork venues like An Cruiscin Lan, Cyprus Avenue, and The Quad. We endeavour to sound unique and original in all we do. We love all genres of music, and we especially love good musicianship combined with honesty and emotion in the music. We try and stay true to ourselves, and even though we have a sound, we don't have one style. We have been told we sound like The Beatles,Tom Waits,Primus, Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana all rolled into one, and they are all big influences. What sets us apart from other bands is that we have chosen to trust ourselves and go with our own unique style rather than borrowing sounds from other bands, or trying to emulate other bands in any way. We trust the creative impulse and we trust people will recognize well-played,well-crafted original music.
