Singer/songwriter Jhai releases her first single “Another Notch” from her highly anticipated album Middle Child Syndrome.
It’s a bluesy jam that has the singer lamenting about merely being another notch under her ex’s belt. “I loved you but it was a waste because you weren’t serious,” she sings on the second verse.
Her first mixtape PSA, released in 2010 to critical acclaim, garnered comparisons to Kanye West during his College Dropout days and U.K. artist Lily Allen.
Born and raised in rural Georgia in the heart of Dublin, Jhai has sung the national anthem for the NBA twice during the Washington Wizards games and with WNBA for the Washington Mystics.
Jhai currently resides in New York City and is now stepping out with her own sound: blues country-infused, R&B Hip-Hop.
“Another Notch” is poised to hit radio on November 30th.
