J. Harden

Hood & Blues

Atlanta singer, J. Harden (born John W. Harden) is a go-getter. Sure, R.Kelly and Young Jeezy made a hit record about it, but J. has lived it, turning the catchy phrase into more than a simple saying, but a way of life.

Raised between Milledgeville, GA, and Atlanta, J. Harden has seen a lot in his life. Not long ago, he was living out of his 1978 Monte Carlo, wondering how he was going to get his life together.

“It was tough being homeless,” he recalls somberly, adding that his car was later stolen, propelling him even further into street life.

After spending a tough six months with nowhere to lay his head, he eventually hooked up with some encouraging friends and started doing construction work. Though he was off the streets, J. still wasn’t satisfied. He had a yearning to get into the recording booth and release his pent up emotion through music.

J. always knew that he could sing. As a child he was influenced by his father who was a drummer in a local band called Chocolate Ripple. But he had never taken his calling seriously. With a new focus and perspective on life, J.harden met up with Obey and the two grinded day end and day out coming up with ways to get money. J.harden was relentless on his on with the help of GOD and the grind.

Since then he’s been doing shows throughout the Atlanta metro-area, including performances of his high-energy single, “Marching Band” featuring rapper,Trick Daddy—an ode to women’s sexy swagger. J. Harden has a Barack Obama type swag with his blues side of Hood & Blues. With songs like "Finishline'' and ''In my Hood'' he tackles the world in showing that the struggle is universal and that it's going to take everybody and God to change our current economical, spiritual, and mental position in this world. J.Harden has won over 100 shows and still counting. and has attracted the attention of the majors with his relentless grind and will to win. J.harden has teamed up with the legendary platinum producer greg charlie and together they have created a production team that is cutting edge and down right the sound of HOOD & BLUES. " I have learned in this game that out can't invite the wrong people to your party cause they just want to stand in your house to see what they can steal"

With songs like "Work Dat Pole" a hands down hit in my opinion, J.harden shows with the help of celebrity pole instructor Fiya Starta Aka Pole Joe, he shows that Pole Dancing is more than the strip club it's an art. Together they have proven that this song is the Pole Dancers Natonal Anthem. This tracks also produced by J.harden and Greg Charlie. J.Harden Has worked with Angelo Ray, J.C. Implacible , Kang Kong, Track Bangers, Jim Johnson, Justice League, and countless other producers. J. Harden has a special connection with Angelo Ray and Greg Charlie. He says," They have that gift that can't be taught."

" I am the edge, just like Marvin Gaye had sexual healing and Mercy Mercy Me, I have work dat pole and In My Hood. Music has no direction like Nike, " I Just Do It''.

“I just want to show people that life is real and you have consequences,” he insists. “Time waits for no man.”

With that in mind, J. is as busy as ever. A true hustler, he says his mentality is more like a rapper’s than a singer’s.

“I grind like a rapper,” he emphasizes. “Singers don’t do that nowadays. They wait on a label to come get them. My motto is, see it, believe it, go get it.”

Bottom line: be prepared for the takeover.
