Bio
Born and brought up in Cornwall, I began playing guitar and singing at the age of nine, originally as a classical musician. I discovered quite quickly that I wanted to play more popular music, and started to write my own songs in my mid teens, taking influences from whomever I was listening to at the time.
I first performed my original material at Mr Smiths open mic night in Bournemouth, and went down a storm which encouraged me to play on a regular basis in Southampton, and more recently in Bristol. I have now refined my style and concentrate on writing songs about subjects that have effected me or people around me, drawing on influences from Ani DiFranco, Alanis Morrisette, Fiona Apple, and Tracey Chapman to name but a few.
