J.Higgins formally known as L-Lay started with three Texas music shops in the DFW area in 2003. He would become very popular because of his in store appearances from soon to be greats, "Chamillionaire, Mike Jones, and Paul Wall.
In 2004 L-Lay paid (soon to be signed) Paul Wall to screw and chop a mixtape called, "The Ghetto Grammies." That same year L-Lay recieved a sign from God to turn his talents completely to the Gospel audience.
Since L-Lay has appeared on mixtapes, tours, and churches across the US with his mainstream Gospel style that the world has yet to experience. L-Lay's dream is to be the first multiplatinum Gospel Hip Hop artist!
