Jhon Thumb

Jhon Thumb hangs out in his basement jamming with his dog. Mr. Thumb leans back and blows a long wailing note from his Trumpet. Skinno the Dog howls out a waivering accompaniment, adding melody , vibrato and a whole lot of soul. It all began in elementary school with the afformentioned trumpet, piano, then bagpipe. And at the age of tweleve taught himself to play guitar.
His music is always a "quest for the new"As a young child he idolized the Beatles, then through the metal years Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, which is where he picked up his pentant for speed or what Gene Ween has described him as a "fret jockey". Then through all of the ranks of classic rock most notably Jimi Hendrix for which Jhon has been known to pay the ultimate homage from time to time. THen Deep into Jazz, John Coltrane, OrnetteColeman, Miles, Thelonious, Monk,
Billy Holiday. Then he started to write his own music a fantastic barrage of all of the afformentioned styles, as well as classical music , sounds of dreams and such.
