"jHoy released new CD, You're Worthy Lord"

jHoy is a female gospel group consisting of three young ladies: Heather, Dominique and Clauhdette. Although of Caribbean descent, these three young ladies are native South Floridians. Heather currently studies at The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Dominique attends the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, and Clauhdette has been accepted into the Culinary Arts program at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree.

jHoy’s ministry began when the youngest member of the group was just three. Their talent and potential was realized by their parents, currently the group’s manager. Although they did not understand why God had given them three girls, all one and a half years apart, they realized that God had a plan for their lives. While attending church they began utilizing the girls as often as the opportunity presented itself in ministry and as worship leaders. In time, their natural talent and the anointing of God produced what we now know as the dynamic and anointed group called jHoy.

Currently, they attend Light of The World Christian Center Sunrise where they have been members from inception. They are very active in their ministry.

Among jHoy’s greatest accomplishments is the release of their first CD entitled You’re Worthy Lord, and appearing as the opening act for Vicki Winnans. They have also shared the stage with The Grace Thrillers, Chevelle Franklin, Stitchie, Papa San, Dobby Dobson, Claudelle Clark, Carlene Davis, N’VOY, Mr. God Bless, Dwain Walters Junior Tucker and Jimmy Hicks with The Voices of Integrity. Among others were speakers like Dr. Paula White, Evangelist Maxine Johnson, Rev. Barnett and Speaking Hands. Their music can be heard around the United States on www.wordnet.com and on radio stations such as WA VS 1170, WMBM 14.90, Mystic 1580 AM and other popular radio stations. You can now purchase their CD on cdbaby.com and at local bookstores in our area.

In addition to the afore mentioned achievements, on April 23, 2005, jHoy had their first album release for their second album, entitled Only U, followed by a second album release held in Kingston, Jamaica.

This album, a majority of which was written by jHoy themselves, by itself is a substantial feat. It forced jHoy to truly utilize the anointing that GOD has placed on them, and pushed them farther than they thought they could ever go.

Although individuals and distinct in their love for God and calling, they all aspire to be proficient and established in the area of professional music ministry and music production. Their deepest desire is to bring glory to God in their music and to reach the lost that may not have heard the gospel otherwise. The group’s motto is taken from Psalms 30:5, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” - Westside Gazette - Jan. 18, 2006
