When you hear the slogan J-Hut is the next Jay Z you might be taken back a bit, but delve a little closer into the world of J-Hut and you will see exactly what it means. When a man is born, he is inherently blessed with the traits of his parentage. As a man grows he is molded by his surroundings and influences. J-Hut is a man who has the makings of a legend, not just in the industry of music but as an entrepreneur, an innovator and an
impressario of the entertainment industry.
Born Jelani Kazmende in Milwaukee, WI , J-Hut was raised around both music and the essence of the entrepreneurial spirit. Transplanting to the South with a football scholarship to John C. Smith University, Charlotte, NC soon became home to J-Hut and the empire that he would soon create. What sprouted from a independently owned car wash in 2006 to a full blown entertainment enterprise, J Hut has established himself as much more than a hip hop artist. Within 5 years of the inception of his first business J-Hut became the owner and operator of his own independent record label, 5 Star Hustle, his own production company 5 Star Hustle Productions, The Muzik Hut Recording Studios, and now in 2011 a brand new endeavor, Ultimate Combat
League, a unique new league concept that will soon evolve into a major sporting enterprise.
Aside from the many ventures already in place the 5 Star Hustle Empire continues to grow and evolve, not just the artist, J-Hut, but the assemblage of
young entrepreneurs in the making that are working under the 5 Star Hustle Entity.
J-Hut offers up some of the hottest new music coming out of the south, with catchy hits like When The Money Calls , I Be Gettin Money and Gucci Shades. J-Hut is taking the nation by storm. The ladies love his style, the clubs bounce to his tracks and the media is recognizing the immense talent and drive from this artist. Charlotte has been hearing alot from J-Hut since his initial mixtape release of Charlottes Hardest in 2007, The Takeover in 2009 and the follow up The Final Chapter in 2010.
His current single When The Money Calls is breaking boundaries in several radio markets across the south. With an epic video on the horizon, a multiple city promotional tour and an upcoming full length album/ep "And Then There Was Me", J-Hut will soon be a household name and a force to be reckoned with.
