Bio

The chemistry, distinctive sound and unique image of JHUZWAN is awe-inspiring to say the least. They are blessed with heavenly beauty, angelic voices and the desire to touch all that are willing to hear and experience their sublime anointing. On July 16, 1977, the birth of Candace and Camille allowed for a breakthrough in the music industry. Born to Bishop Dr. Hananiah PhD, Dr. Samaria Simms PhD., Candace and Camille’s God given talents where phenomenally distinct, even in their early years. Singing in various church settings in their hometown of Philadelphia, PA at the age of three, laid the foundation for the growth and maturity of these gifts that would soon be exercised incessantly.
By the age of thirteen, JHUZWAN had a solid background of live performances after visiting such places as NY, LA, FL, NC etc. and performing at many facilities of higher learning including the College of NJ, as well as Temple, Howard and Rutgers Universities. It was also evident that Candace and Camille’s gift did not only consist of vocal ability but they are gifted musicians as well. Both ladies show familiarity with such instruments as piano, drums, alto saxophone and clarinet. Also in the area of dance, they are as fluid as in their ability to sing. Their expertise of dance lies in the area of Praise, Hip-Hop, and Mime. In their later years, JHUZWAN participated in a number of events that allowed their talents to stretch far beyond mediocrity and extended then to unprecedented lengths. They are featured vocalists on Karen White’s recent album released and recently accompanied BET’s Ed Gordon during a Black History presentation at Burlington County College where Candace and Camille were first enrolled after graduating from Delran High School with high honors.
JHUZWAN takes Gospel Music to another plateau. Their dynamic lyrics and professionalism in and out of the studio is destined to be an untouchable force in the Gospel industry.
To date JHUZWAN are a strategically managed act with an impressive history and wealth of experience. They have written with Herb Middleton (producer of NuVybe). Their song was on the top ten charts in Europe entitled “No Weapon” with King Cyz and Ann Nesby from Sounds of Blackness which was often played on Power 99FM on Sunday Inspiration. As their following grows, so does the ability to please large audiences. Thematic originality, unique distinctiveness, and notable professionalism have for years existed as the tools and assets of this talented Gospel duo.
With all of this, plus sincere dedication, there is no question about the marketability of JHUZWAN to the Gospel and R&B target audience and beyond!
