Biography

Jifubuki are a prog/jazz-rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, that take their fans on a journey through soundscapes and beautiful melodies.
Brought together by their love of progressive rock, the guys were inspired by the musical genius of King Crimson, Yes and Frank Zappa... setting them on a path which would eventually lead to the formation of Jifubuki at the start of 2010.

Band founder and lead guitarist, Will Hawkins, has played in several Northern Irish bands over the years. He has also written music for performance groups in Ireland and attended Guitarcraft, an intensive workshop set up by Robert Fripp.

Guitarist Ross Dunlop, bass player Nick Todd and drummer Kris McReynolds share Will’s passion for great music and between them have played in some great Northern Irish bands.

In 2010, Jifubuki were working behind closed doors – refining their sound and working out the complexities of their tunes... in 2011, they have lined up festivals and performances across the UK, bringing their sound to as many people as possible.

It will be a year of hard work and fantastic opportunities for this talented foursome from Belfast .
