JIGSAW THE PUZZLER. His name alone shows that he is unique and very original. Representing the Bronx, JIGSAW has rhymed since the age of ten. Growing up, his household was filled with the influences of Hip-Hop. JIG adapted to the energy as if it was his destiny to wield a pen. Writing became his true love, explaining his swift pen strokes and razor sharp incites.
JIGSAW paints vivid pictures with his words. His lyrical content is straightforward. Never expect to hear the generic sounds of the average rapper from this versatile performer. JIGSAW always delivers something fresh and innovative with his diverse styles and repertoire.

Every emcee has a crew, and JIGSAW is no exception to this rule. The Young Mob Empire (YME) is a group of multi-faceted emcees, formed in the halls of New York Citys LaGuardia High School in 1992. JIGSAW and the Empire were known for running through all rhyming opposition that challenged, with the greatest of ease. As they progressed in years and technique, individuals from the group chose to develop solo projects as well. JIGSAW was one of them.

To gain exposure, JIG began performing live shows. On several occasions, he collaborated with the live band Dujeous, who had been performing at all of the hot spots in Manhattans world-famed artist hub: the Village. Jig has played at such illustrious New York City clubs as the Lions Den, Downtime, C.B.G.B.s, S.O.B.s and the legendary Apollo Theatre, cultivating a large underground following.

All of the exposure opened doors for JIG, presenting him with bigger opportunities. JIGSAW found himself, alongside Dujeous, traveling to Marseille, France to perform at the MARSATAC Festival, the largest Hip-Hop event in Europe. JIGSAW was ready for the crowd of thousands. The performance, locally televised and internationally simulcast on the Internet, was one of his best. The stage has become JIGs second home.

He now makes music daily, working hard with producers Omen, Dujeous, Taylormade, Cylla, JustOne, SouthPaw, and many others, combining an array of different styles. JIGSAW is also part of the dynamic duo EQ, AKA Equilibrium. He and his partner Mista Ed da Hoarse Vocalist have a chemistry that can be compared to the likes of legendary duos such as EPMD.
