In 2009, Jill's song "When I Dream" was licensed as a corporate theme song for Pigtail Pals Apparel and endorsed by the Global Ambassador of Dove's Self Esteem Fund.

In addition, her songs "Never Home" and "Dancin in a Rainstorm" were licensed for recording by Midwest Artist Search Winner, Gaia Galvan.

BIOGRAPHY
Illinois-based Singer/Songwriter Jill Dawson has released 2 CDs of acoustic-based pop and folk. Her music has been critically acclaimed and featured by major regional media from Centerstage Chicago, The Reader to the Illinois Entertainer. Her CD, First Time Around, was nationally and internationally distributed and her sound has been described as “a remarkable blend of pop and folk”, offering a “refreshing twist to the usual tales”. Her songs have been featured on NPR, PBS, and college radio stations from the east to west coast, as well as across Europe. Several of her songs ranked 1 on the AAA chart for Australia’s premiere MP3 website. “I Try and I Try” was included on Repossessed Compilation featuring Chicago top artists, and “Bless These Streets” was released nationally on Quickstar Productions Going Home Compilation via Sony Music. Jill’s live shows have captivated packed audiences, and she has performed as a showcase artist for the Midwest Artist Search, National Folk Alliance (represented by CRM Management), Chicago's Singer Spotlight, Chick Singer Night, and Female Songwriters You Wanna Hear, as well as Venus Rising in Melbourne Australia. Jill founded FAB Chicago, a networking and mentoring organization for Female Artist and Bands.
