Even though Jillian Everett is a new, fresh face to the music industry, music itself is nothing new to her. She began singing and performing at the age of two, started writing music at the age of five, and began leading worship at age twelve:
"I always remember singing more than I talked. The first time I lead a song at church, I was completely terrified. The music started and I didn't. (laughs) I looked at the entire praise team in complete horror, started balling, and told myself I'd never do anything like that again. But, God definitely had a different plan."
Born at 29 weeks during the massive snow storm in 1993 in Birmingham, Alabama, Jillian has been a fighter from the beginning:
"I was born almost 3 months premature, during a blizzard. There are so many reasons why I shouldn't be here, but I am, and I couldn't be more thankful. Everyday is a thrill and sharing it with my Savior, the man of my life, makes it everything."
Jillian (19 years old) is currently working with Grammy & Dove nominated Producer, Tre' Corley, in Nashville, TN on her debut album "Choose Life." Her upbeat sound meets with meaningful lyrics to make for a perfect match and remedy for any bad day.
"I've written every song on this album and I couldn't be more excited about that! More than anything I want to be relatable to my amazing fans and support system. Every song I write has my heart and I'm so passionate about every single one of them."
Jillian's motto is "Choose Life." Her sheer passion for life is as contagious as her genuine smile. She chooses to live outloud with everything she does.
"I probably laugh WAY too much. I always have people asking me why I'm so happy all the time and the truth is, I just love living. I love doing crazy weird things. I'm always up for trying something new and I love change. Happiness for me is a choice and I choose to be happy, I CHOOSE LIFE. I'm a fun-loving person with a quirky sense of humor and I feel like I'm always bursting into song. (laughs) I'm just a girl who has a lot on her mind and I'm not afraid of putting myself out there."
