"Performing Songwriter Magazine"

For a lesson in soul skip over to "Don't Make Me Cry" and listen as the song does a slow build from quiet acoustic ballad to an aching, pop powehouse. It's hard to say which is better-the song or the way Jill Knight sings it.
Whether it's the folk-rock sound of "She Blows Away" or the subdued jazz styling of "Rain," Knight hits the mark everytime. Styles change at a head spinning pace but Knight's flawless vocals and highly focused songwriting skills remain the constant. "All in a day" is an intimate, guitar/vocal performance so warm and clear you'd think you're sitting next to Knight in the studio.
Future Perfect, with it's many stylistic diversions, is like dailing up and down the radio and only hearing good songs. Now that's present perfect. - Neil Fagan

"Dirty Linen Magazine"

Few songwriters seem to have the self-assurance that this California, singer-songwriter possesses.
Whether it's the funky opening track "Jean," the jazzy "Rain," the rocking "All Good Girls," or the acoustic "Eyes Wide Open," Knight approached her music with unadorned intensity. Her songs pack an emotional punch, rich in the details of everyday experience. The arrangements are highly polished but never slick. She uses her back up musicians most effectively, supplementing the bass/electric guitar/ drums with cello, slide guitar and keyboards as needed. On a couple of tracks, it's just her voice, acoustic guitar and bass. And it's a testament to her talent that both styles work equally as well. This is first rate, high quality music. - Jim Lee
