Like most musicians Jill Plaisted began her journey as a youngster at home with her very first green and yellow plastic harmonica. The real trip began however when Jill joined the Celtic rock band the Sandcarvers early in their ascendancy. Playing viola and singing were a wonderful counterpoint to Tony Guinn's lead. Jill quickly became a crowd favorite. Changes in style and personnel sent Jill in search of her own voice. Taking the time to teach herself guitar to go along with piano and other strings, worlds began to open for the young singer/songwriter. An avid traveler, Jill has always been an observer of the human condition and it shows in her songs dripping with humanity. Performing live as often as possible, Jill has caught the attention of artists suh as Violent Femmes (Victor Delorenzo), the Carolina's (melaniejane), Ashcan School, Andrew Giddings (Jethro Tul)l. Fully committed to forging her own path in the music world, Jill Plaisted is busy working on her solo debut recording with various musicians and producers and performing live whenever a stage is available. In the meantime, you can enjoy her 2-track demo recordings.
