Bio
Jim Axelrod Big Little Band
Influenced by the up-tempo blues styles of Dutch Mason, the Powder Blues Band, and Roomful Of Blues, Jim took up the trumpet about ten years ago and began performing several years later. In 2009, he started his own combos featuring himself on trumpet and vocals, with accompaniment by piano, guitar, or bass, and saxophone.
Now Jim is joined by Terry Balazs on bass who supplies a solid foundation for the band's swing-blues sound. The duo has been together since 2011 and the sound has never been so tight.
