Jimena Bautista was born in Mexico city in 1981, at the early age of 2 years old she felt amazed by the "Beat it" song, ever since she discovered her passion: " Music"
She was inspired from her father a musician known under the name of the band "Mister Loco" (the winners from the World´s most popular song festival in Tokyo/Japan 1975 "Yamaha contest",with the "Lucky Man" song).
In the early 80´s her parents moved to Cancun/Mexico and that´s where she developed her artistic talent.
She began her bilingual studies in a British School, and found herself very interested to Sing and dance, she studied contemporary jazz dancing lessons, she continued her artistic studies in Xalapa/Mex, once she came back to her home town Cancun she met well known Jazz Musicians who introduced her to the "Jazz Music World"
Jimena Bautista is a Recording Artist and had many Live performances for many years in different places and venues such as: "The Movie (Troy) for the cast party in Cabo San Lucas/Baja California", "Invited by George Duke to perform on stage in The Riviera Maya Jazz Festival"
"Live performances for Sony Universal Pictures for Summer of Sony, Press release of nine motion pictures in Cancun/Mexico", "Appearances and recording sessions with recognized artists in Montreal/Canada”, "MoonSplash Festival in Anguilla/British West Indies", also being invited for recording sessions at "Bennett Studios in New Jersey" and even some modeling acts for "Conde Nast Traveler Magazine UK"
Inspired by musicians and singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Elis Regina, Carmen McRae, Thelonious Monk, is one of the reasons she produces her own music with a fusion sound from all she had been surrounded by.
Being a producer, singer, songwriter and entertainer she is considered a complete independent artist.
