Jim Goodman… Cast Musical Band… Me And You

Vocals/guitars/songwriter/folk-rocker/all around good guy.
Born and raised in Miami, Fla... In 1972 I moved to Nashville with my first serious recording group Southern Steel. (southern rock band with 3 guitars and lots of harmony) We recorded an album of my songs (Get on Through) at the Happy Goodman sound studios in Madisonville, Kentucky. (a prominent gospel group, but no relation to yours truly) Unfortunately, the label we signed with (Earth records) was quite small and never secured label distribution for it. The group split up in 1976.

I was lucky enough to join a good commercial road band out of New York City. The Cast toured for three years before settling in Sacramento in 1979. I have managed to keep various versions of this band together ever since. We perform for both acoustic and electric venues and casuals.

In 1989 I recorded my 2nd album here in California, The Offering. Several friends and Cast members contributed. We showcased this album at Malarkey’s in Sacramento late that year. My third album, entitled Love Will Do was recorded 2003. My latest Album is entitled Subject To Change. Seven selections on this album are produced by Jeff Gottschalk
@ Rabdaddy Studios in NY City. The album is dedicated to my mother Mary, the saxophonist of the family. I've appeared on public cable channels 2 in Roseville, CA and Channel 6 in Miami, Fla. I’ve done many live original shows at Northern CA venues including: Auburn and Placer County Fairgrounds, Marilyn’s nightclub, Sacramento Zoo, Woodcreek Oaks Golf Course, Chalk it Up Labor Day festival, Sacto Yacht Club etc.
I now feature myself and son Joshua, a very talented musician/ songwriter in his own right. Our show is entitled Me And You. I’m still performing for 40 years now… I must be doing something right:-) I look forward to meeting and singing for you as well. Thanks to you and God for allowing my song to continue.
