Jim began playing by ear at the age of 6. He has developed the ability to "...make the mundane profound…” (Liz Harvey-Foulds; Artistic Director of Live from the Rock Blues and Folk Society). Jim has very eclectic influences, from his parents record collection or jazz and crooners, to progressive rock influences like: Toto, Kansas, Deep Purple, to pop artist: Billy Joel, Gino Vanelli.
