Bio
An angel once said, "yo, wuddup." In response a devil asked, "Angel, do you know where you are?" The angel did not have an answer. This sums up Jim Hanft and his approach to music. He knows not of where he is, but of where he is coming from. While coming from a music history rooted in grunge and classic rock, Jim offers music that is quite the contrary. With gentle well-developed melodies, he carries his audience through the stories that make up his life. His work with the alternative-pop band The Limericks is reminiscent of Ryan Adams & Jeff Tweedy. Current influences include The Shins, Elliott Smith, & The Jayhawks.
