Lyrics

I Feel Fine

Written By: Jim Jesse

“I Feel Fine”

Don’t get e-mail
don’t surf the net
I’m not plugged in
but I ain’t dead yet

Don’t have a car
leave it all it fate
get where I’m goin’
though I might be late

(Chorus)

Hey, but I feel fine
talkin’ ‘bout peace of mind
I feel fine
peace of mind
peace of mind

Don’t have a TV
no cable and such
know what I missed
wasn’t that much

Who you callin’
that just can’t wait
got no cell phone
I’m out of date

Man, but I feel fine
talkin’ ‘bout peace of mind
oh, but I feel fine
peace of mind
peace of mind

(Bridge)

oh, I IIIIIII feel fiiiiine
yes IIIIIIII feel fine
I IIIIIII feel fiiiiine
yes IIIIIIII feel fine

Don’t have much money
don’t get into that
no fancy clothes
I’m not where its at

Oh, but I feel fine
talkin’ ‘bout peace of mind
oh, but I feel fine
peace of mind
peace of mind

oh, I IIIIIII feel fiiiiine
yes IIIIIIII feel fine
I IIIIIII feel fiiiiine
yes IIIIIIII feel fine
(repeat bridge)

The One That Got Away

Written By: Jim Jesse

“The One That Got Away”

You will remember

you can’t forget

how it was

when we met

well its true

yeah baby it was you

and you were alive

you felt so alive

But now you are so proud to be set free

You laughed as you waved goodbye to me

You said that you’d forget

come what may

and now you’re full of regret

honey what can I say

we remember what we’ve lost

not what we’ve gained

The one got that away

That new found love

will bring you down

and soon you’ll turn

to who’s not around

well its true

now that I’m away

its not everyday

everyday

those things that made you mad

you’ll soon forget

and I’ll look so damn good

in retrospect

You said that you’d forget

come what may

and now you’re full of regret

honey what can I say

we remember what we’ve lost

not what we’ve gained

The one got that away

the one that got away

You said it once

said it twice

you’d let go

no matter the price

you’d simply turn and walk away

and learn how to love for another day

you’d simply turn and walk away

and learn how to love for another day

love for another day hey, hey, hey

Repeat chorus

Superstar

Written By: Jim Jesse

“Superstar”

I’ve been up
I’ve been down
I was lost
now I’m found

Third and long
three-two count
at the line
no timeouts

no one’s going to lift me up with that Lombardi trophy
I’ll never have the stats to be named MVP
I’ll never be on top of that medal stand
never going to run the race with a torch in my hand

but you say, “Baby, I know what you are, Superstar . . . Superstar”

I have loved
I have lost
I have tried
paid the cost

Bases full
got the ball
kick is up
of that wall

I’ll never skate around with old Lord Stanley’s cup
No referee’s going to ever lift my arm up
I’ll never break the tape at the finish line
never going to have the lead as I turn the back nine

but you say, “Baby, I know what you are, Superstar . . . Superstar”

[guitar solo]

[repeat first bridge, then repeat chorus five
