Bio
Through all of the changes that I have been through in life, my love for music has always stayed the same. when I was just a little boy, I remember riding around in an old station wagon with my family, listening to 8-tracks of Willie Nelson, Lacy J Dalton, Kenny Rogers, Simon and Garfunkel, and countless other artists that in some way influenced me to express myself with music. I started playing drums in the sixth grade band In Loveland, Ohio, until my family moved to Olathe, Kansas in 1983. That's when I got my first guitar. It was a cheap version of a Les Paul made by Hondo. I plucked around on it, learning only from a few library books and magazines. I had this old tape recorder that my father gave me, and was able to learn how to play my favorite songs by ear. Then I got into Rock'N'Roll, Kiss, ZZ Top, Motley Crue. Ah yes, the angry teen stage where I thaught that the only people that knew how I felt were the people that I was listening to on the radio. The power of music is very strong. Well, to make a long story short, It is now many years later, and I have done a lot of growing up, and have also learned a few hard lessons. I've been through a couple of divorces, and have two awesome sons. I've been through hell and back, but on many occasions felt like I was in heaven as well. I have always said that to sit down with a guitar for a while by myself was "theraputic" in many ways. I find that writing about real life things makes a great song, and I find more often than not, that alot people can relate to my music. So here I am now, always putting my thoughts on paper, adding a little music, and recording everything here in a small room with a computer and an SM-57, in hopes that someday I can do something great as a songwriter. All of my songs are little chapters in my book of life, actual things about me , and the people in my life. I hope you enjoy!
