Accoustic,folk/rock original songs that have been lived,bit like Neil young,Rufus Wainright,Ray Lamongtne our band,Jimmckee/band, have supported major acts like Ocean Colour Scene,Mark Lanehan,Lissie,Sharon Shannon,dervish,Mary Coughlan,Mick Flannery,Ultan Conlon and many more.We have 6 songs in the sound track in the movie 'SEVEN SONGS FOR AMY',Patrick Bergin,Sean Maguire and Kevin Ryan are some of the major actors in this romantic comedy set in galway ireland,releasded in early 2012,my 1st solo album is is called''JUST A PIECE OF''..Jimmckee can be bought on itunes, i also was a memeber of the band 'ISLAND EDDY' we released an album,of 4 of my songs and tradisonal irish tunes,was produced by,'ARTY MC GLYNN' he also played on the alum,can be bought on line,also 'HOMELESS PIANOMAN'from my solo album, has being picked up by a major fundraising project in 'BOSTEN,AMERICA' for a complialtion album, am really pleased about that,am currently finishing my second album, 'GOODNESS COMES FROM THE HEART' and have written a 3rd album ,'UNPLUGGED MATTERS'my manager Robert Matthews ,email..[robert@stonetrough.com]works for MCD,one of the biggest promoters in ireland,very exciting times for our band,with the film been released 2012, now is the time for us we've all served our time well,and put on a great show,we tour nation wide in ireland and have been getting a great response at festivals and theatre's and smaller intimate gigs,past 3 years,we tour as a 3 piece, 2 vocals Accoustic guitar,harmonica,lead electric guitar and drums,i play open tuned Accoustic guitar drop d,which gives us a different sound,and makes up for no bass,we sometimes can be a 5 piece depending on the the gig venue,we would love to play america and are working on that,we have a big IRISH,feel to our songs and set and sometimes we have a fiddle player with us 'CATHAL HAYDEN or MAUREEN BROWNE,two top irish fiddle players who have both played on my 1st solo album,although our songs are worldly,i've did many TV and RADIO appearances as a solo artist in Ireland,and toured the Uk and Europe, festivals ,Volvo Ocean Race GALWAY,Ballyshannon Folk Festival,Reading womad,Celtic Connections Glasgow,Stornaway fetival,Orkney folk festival,Lorient France,and played in America in Richmond Virgina celtic festivals to name a few,exciting times for the JIMMCKEE/BAND, watch this space....
